TURN IN POACHERS
Of Iowa, Inc |
CALL 1-800-532-2020
TO REPORT A VIOLATION
This number is operated by the
Iowa Department of Natural
Resources and is answered 24
hours a day, seven days a week
At the time of your call you will be given
a case number. You will be
asked to call back later to confirm the outcome or status of your case.
Provide all the information you can about the suspects,
the vehicles
used, the license number, and the area--even if poachers have finished
their dirty work or if you find evidence of recent poaching activity.
Hunting out of season or at night using spotlights are two of the most
obvious signs of poaching. Hunters or anglers who take more than
their legal limit are poachers too, as well as a trapper employing
illegal devices to take furbearers.
Investigations will be conducted by DNR
conservation officers under
the same guidelines as any law enforcement investigation.
You are eligible for a reward as long as an arrest is made
or a citation
is issued following a completed investigation. Normally, rewards will
be considered only if an animal or fish has actually been taken by a
poacher. The rewards are private dollars paid-out by the TIP of Iowa
Board. Those dollars are generated from memberships and by
sportsmen and women like you.
YOU CAN REPORT A POACHER AND COLLECT THE REWARD
WHILE REMAINING
COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS
